Hello everyone!
I've been riding a scooter for four years now, but have managed to be mostly free of mechanical problems all that time. Aside from replacing the ignition, adjusting a few things, and putting in a new battery and spark plug, I've been just riding, and having fun.
With the unfortunate (and sudden) demise of my reliable Buddy 50 two weeks ago (even my reflexes aren't THAT good...crunch!) I am now in the position of needing solid advice on how to work on my replacement scooter... A ZNEN Heritage 150. I know it will need more maintenance, but it's less than a year old, and only has 1100 miles on it, and the price was good.
Right off the top, I need to replace the battery, and it's idling really fast (back wheel runs when it's on the stand). I'm hoping to find practical advice on doing the work, not only to save $, but because I want to learn how this machine works! I don't mind getting my hands dirty, and I damn sure don't like the idea of having to call a tow, or pay somebody else for something I could do, if I only knew how.
Because it really is about the ride!
Thanks! Sunny
