It's getting quite irritating and I do not want to further mess the scooter up. I'm NOT a mechanic and I'm by no means an expert, but I don't feel comfortable drilling out something in my carb. I can't afford to screw it up and have to order another.

No where did I say you did not know what you were talking about? You clearly should understand, since you know what you are talking about, correct? That these things give constant problems and surely you would know how frustrating it is when you go to at least a dozen different sites and forums and facebook pages asking for help and no one seems to be able to help me solve this.

I've looked and looked and looked and there is no such screw on my carb. If there is, it looks nothing like this and isn't even located in the same spot from what I can tell.

I just don't want to have to buy new parts again with the chance of that not even being the problem. If there's a way to test these parts though..

Sooo do you have any suggestions? There a way to test these parts to make sure they are working before chunking them or buying new ones, again and or so I can rule this out?

Nothing added to it, did a valve adjustment a few days ago before I had got it running again. It has a little more than 5k miles on it, close to 6k, and okay I'll try that.

Only my front brake makes the brake light light up. When I pull in the rear brake lever, it doesn't make it light up. When I pull the rear brake lever in and try to start the scooter, nothing happens. No lights, no clicking, nothing. When I press the right brake lever in, lights, and it turns over and sounds as if it wants to start.

New to the forums due to seeking help with my Chinese scooter. A while back my left brake lever stopped turning my scooter on while pressing the electric start. The brake light also would not engage when the lever was pulled back. So, I began using my front brake lever to start the scooter, which worked fine. Well, I had some recent problems and I recently had to replaced the CDI and Electric Choke because my scooter was having problems starting. After the replacement, everything was working perfectly. Sounded great, started up on the first try within the blink of an eye. I ran it all day the day I got it fixed, even turned it off and back on and he started up just fine. Took him out again the next day and everything was fine, started up etc just fine. Later that day as I went to start my scooter back up after having it off, I noticed my front brake lever was not turning my scooter on, I wiggled it and moved it around and finally it started. Now, the rear brake lever nor the front will start the scooter. It's turning over, has spark, good compression etc. My battery is good as well. Also did a valve adjustment not but a few days ago before I had got it running. Good oil as well as good gas. My front brake lever still engages the brake light, but won't turn the scooter on. It also will not start with starter fluid. I was told that the switch in the brake lever can keep the scooter from starting up if it is out or needs replacing, and won't even start on starter fluid. I'm by no means a Chinese scooter mechanic so I'm not sure. However it was a Chinese scooter mechanic that told me this through a friend over Facebook in a scooter group. My lights and such turn on when I attempt to start the scooter up, turns over, sounds like it wants to start even, a little more so when I twist the throttle, but it just won't get past that point. Any help is appreciated. I really want to get back out and riding.
