Update: After an inspection of the drive sheaves I noticed some pretty excessive wear in the groves/pins....so I picked up a NCY unit and threw it in set up on the straight slots. I also threw some 10g weights in to see what kind of top end I was missing. I was pretty stoked to see 77mph GPS!!....this is on flat road with NO slope...and NO wind at all! I think with a little tailwind or slope it will crack 80mph...which is a pretty tall feat in my opinion. I also did a CVT cover hack to keep the trans nice and cool.

The problem here would probably be the fact that you are running the Carb in a "blow-through" configuration....be sure the float bowl vent is getting boost.....and you will need to run a fuel pump to ensure there is no backflow of the fuel system.

Decided to do some color on the scooter. So I painted it and gave the muffler a mini makeover. Burnt the tip in to give it a nice look

The EPA is a complete JOKE. they are just a money-driven business created to tax the population/businesses in this country. If they truly cared about pollution they would do 1 simple thing here to quiet down the smog machines. Make gas 10 dollars/gallon. This would force people to actually be a part of their community and function without relying on fuel so much. I get so upset when I see a 6mpg ford excursion with one person driving it on the interstate.....and I cant even have a 90mpg yamaha cygnus scooter because it doesnt "meet" the EPA restrictions. In other countries you pay a HEAVY tax for having a less efficient vehicle.(still not a solution), while here we give out tax BREAKS for buying bigger than needed trucks. ? I love commuting on my little scooter....and it makes me feel like I am actually a part of the pollution solution...

if you spray on the outside of the carb and it affects the idle in anyway then you have established that you have an air leak. Now, if the idle goes down, then that would indicate a rich condition(obviously this depends on just how much fluid is being sprayed and getting into the motor). I would take the carb off and recheck all of the seals/couplings of your intake tract. What carb do you have exactly?...some pics or video would also help.

Yes I have been looking at the scooters from PR.....they are VERY impressive....do you have any advice for how much nitrous a 172cc 61mm bore GY6 can handle?.... not much. We run nitrous with custom made pistons made to handle it. such as this JE Piston made to handle a 35 Shot. Also run Big bore kits with very thick cylinder walls, Forged Crankshaft rods. Welded Crankshafts. Also i noticed on your setup is different from what i have seen here. Most drill the Nozzle in the intake manifold after the carburetor. not before. Good to know....I am using a 61mm bore/piston with stock rod/crankshaft......I need to step up to the PR special recipe!!....Hook a brother up!... I cant imagine how 30hp extra would feel on this 15hp scooter!...ha!!

I see you put the nos jet size but how much hp gain do you think you're getting? I honestly don't think its much more than a 4-5hp boost...I am spraying in the inlet before the carb....so its probably losing a bit of effectiveness as it heats up....it would probably be a more aggressive hit if it were in the intake manifold...my typical rule of thumb for power adders is if you stay around 50% of overall power added then you can maintain some reliability.

I went ahead and put this nitrous kit together on the scoot. using a .018 jet spraying dry into the inlet....initial tests are promising!...very noticeable power at the push of a button is a huge plus! ....I hope to get into the 3's (50m sprint) with this setup......right now in the mid 4's on motor. There doesnt seem to be too much info floating around concerning GY6's and nitrous ....so Im just playing it by ear here.
Here is a video to demonstrate the difference with and without nitrous. 6-7 1/10ths difference in a 50m sprint!

No that isnt the problem.....its not idle speed. Sounds like the Clutch springs arent the correct dimensions. They should be very tight going on.
Sounds to me like the springs are loose and letting the clutch shoes swing out at idle..thus engaging the clutchbell and causing the scooter to creep. compare the new springs with the stock ones and take a picture.
