Theres no way to test it out just to change it? And is it just take out old one and place the new one in? I found a video of a ruckus sounding the same as mine, and they said the same thing you said about the bad starter clutch. So i will buy this and go from here thanks again. I will update on the process

So the big gear has to be align with the gears that connect to the starter motor?

I know the video is not the best quality, but does it look like everything is in place? Like the gears matching up?

Before it would spin really slow, then it would stop and click, but now it makes that noise in the video and the crank shaft dies not move. I can tutn it by hand though, this is my first issue with this scooter i refuse to throw in the towel lol

I used scoot battery first, then jump from a car battery. Going to try and put a quick vid see if that might help.

Yes i can turn the variator by hand till a certain point then it gets a bit tougher to turn, but it will turn. When it gets to the spot where it gets harder thats where rhe clicking begins and nothing moves, (using the electric start button). The starter does get hot but i dont know if it was from me trying to get it to turn over.

my vento scooter 49cc zip r3i was sitting in storage since last summer, took it out tried to start it and at first turned over fine. My second attempted all that it made was a clicking sound, bought a new battery still clicks, tried to bridge the starter solenoid still clicks only. The strange thing is if i turn the motor using the belt its fine till it gets to a certain spot then it gets hard to turn. If i do this a couple of times the clicking is gone she will try to turn over but acts like there is not enough power then it gets stuck and starts clicking again. I have e new battery, checked all the grounds, wires and fuses. im at a lost only has 800miles on it.
