I have a Linhai unit that was having a radiator leak. It looked like it was coming from the water pump cover so thought the gasket may be bad. After 2 attempted repairs with RTV, the leak still remains. It's a hard place to see so I finally was able to get a photo and see the leak is coming from where the entire pump hosing goes into the unit. I was working with the same part as shown in this old thread: scootdawg.proboards.com/thread/23334 . I figured out how to take this part out and cleaned it good and all O-rings seemed good. I put it all back together, and before even cranking the unit, it started leaking coolant again! The fact that the bearing side of this pump is covered in oil, that makes me think the O-ring is good since it's leaking coolant and not oil. When I had the water pump out and cleaning it, I noticed there was a small hole that goes into the pump. See the below image link. The hole is right under the letter P in the image. www.scooterpartsmax.com/index.php?main_page=popup_image&bigImg=products%2Fparts%2FF039-007%2F500.jpg&pID=553It looks like the leak may be coolant coming out of this hole. There is nothing there to plug the hole, and it's exposed even once you put the pump back in. Any ideas? This isn't just a drip, it drains a full radiator in minutes! Thanks in advance
