Do you by any chance know what size Weights the Elite has? the Service manual does not seem to give the size anywhere, i found 17.4mm?
Also not sure what weight I should get, im 150lbs, Chicago based so acceleration and top speed are both critical, if I read correctly the Elite comes with 9-10G rollers? anyone have a good website to purchase them from? i typically used bikebandit but they dont have any details on size and their prices are higher, shipping is higher too.
(on a side note, when i took apart weights it was completely packed with grease, on a video i saw someone put in only a tiny amount of grease, what is the standard or the right way to go about it? also saw people talking about keeping the grease seal and O ring off so the rollers have more room to roll, any theories on this just out of curiosity)
Thank You.

So i got to the rollers and maybe that was the issue, because the cover was slightly angled and was not pushing in and out evenly, so i took it apart and made sure everything is alright and regreased. The rollers did have a flat spot on them, all of them had 1 flat spot. Is that regular so it stays in place or does that mean that its worn out?
Also took apart the clutch and cleaned it off. and then i took it for a ride after assembly and it was running Much better, so hopefully this fixes it. I will take it to work on a longer ride tomorrow and see if i have any more issues, Thank you for the help and the suggestions.

Hello all,
Hopefully this isnt too long but my 89 Honda Elite Ch80 recently started having issues with acceleration. When starting from 0 it would start very slowly and then after maybe 20 feet it felt like something released the wheel and it started going normally, after about a week of this it finally got to the point where i was driving and when giving throttle it was not sending the power to the rear wheel.
After getting it home started seeing string and rubber coming out when i gave it gas and the wheel would not spin, so i realized my drive belt must be out, which it was, it was completely torn into shreds , it also broke off every single tooth on my drive face pulley fan, so each tooth is now basically cut in half.
Drive Belt 673x16.5x30 was installed from Powerlink
After i installed a new drive belt and reassembled everything, (did not install a new Fan yet) the scooter was finally sending power to the wheel, but it was still not taking off as fast as it was before the torn drive belt,. but it was not bad, after 1 day of driving, it started doing the same thing as before where it would take off from 0 very slowly until a certain amount of feet it felt like something released the wheel.
I took apart the crank case cover again today and everything seemed fine, so does anybody have any suggestions on what the problem may be? There is oil in the engine and transmission.
Clutch maybe??
