Nevermind, guys. Further exploration has determined the cause to be, I believe, damage to the grooves on the rim. They don't fit into the spline. I assume I damaged them through trying to put the tire on without deflating it. What a terrible freaking concept.
Thanks a lot for your help, though. Hopefully I can become a more active member of this board, now!

Here's one photo of the problem. The wheel does not go on any further, and I mean, I may be completely wrong, but it seems like the shoes aren't impeding anything. Attachments:

Also, to give you a brief background on my mechanical skills history, I felt very accomplished for getting the muffler, shock, and wheel off the first time.  |

Hey all,
Brand new to the scooter world. Admittedly (although perhaps unrelated to my problem?) I picked up a cheap chinese ride--a SunL 150 about a month ago.
Well, a not-so-big problem has ended up driving me insane--Got a flat, took off the rear tire and had it fixed a shop, and now I can't seem to get the rear wheel to fit back into place. First of all, I don't know if this is standard, but the tire didn't fit in the wheel well when it was fully inflated, so I let some of the air out to get it into place. Now it won't slide over the brakes completely and I'm at a total loss. The rim catches the teeth I'm assuming just barely, and for the life of me, I can't get it to go in any further.
Am I missing something? Am I hopeless? Does it get better?
