well i gave it a heck of an attempt....the monkey wrench cant get a good enough grip on the rounded nut to wrench it off.....looks like im gonna have to find a garage or someone with better tools than mine....was thinking about taking a dremel to it but im afraid of messing up the threads so ill just let someone else do the work lol

really i used the right one....17mm i believe but dont quote me on it cause i dont remember right off hand.....but i know i had the right one.....but really its neither here nor there because in the end its stripped out like a *%&^#*........at this point the question is how would i get it off being rounded as bad as it is and being as tight as the variator nuts are? and from there do i put the belt on the shaft on the variator and close the clutch and put it on around the closed clutch instead of the closed variator or how should i go about that part

So my belt snapped on my 50 cc sunl elite one day when i was at top speed (30 mph) and hit a bump in the road....took the cover off my cvt and the belt was in shreds...i got a new belt from napa....same size as the previous belt.....i borrowed an impact wrench from a friend and decided i would get to work on it.....well first of all i rounded the variator nut off which really ticked me off.....using the impact wrench properly and using the right size socket the nut was still such cheap metal it rounded right off.....so i removed the clutch and slipped the belt around the variator and then opened my clutch up and put the belt in that way....put it all back together and now when i start it im getting a chug chug chug sound and my accelerator does nothing at all.....also from what ive seen in diagrams and on youtube my belt is supposed to be either up on the variator and down on the clutch or visa versa and instead its down on both of them i believe...i have pictures but im not 100 percent sure on how to upload them but i will attempt to......it was running fine until this belt snapped and im sure its something ive done wrong somewhere along the way because im no expert by any means.....if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated because this scooter is my only means of transportation at the moment....thanks guys

so ive done alot of researching on derestricting the 50cc scooters.....ive opened the cvt case and it appears as though the restrictor there has already been removed and also i checked my cdi box for the pink wire....i have no pink wire but i have one spot on the plug with a missing wire (im assuming the limiter) ive also checked my carb throat and i have a needle with no adjusting tab so i cant increase my fuel air there....only thing ive read that i havent been able to check is the exhaust system to see if there is a restrictor there....even with all these restrictions removed i cant get above 30-32 mph on flatground and 20 uphill (and thats by the speedo so i can only imagine how slow it actually is)......any help or suggestions would be appreciated tons!

I recently bought a sunl elite 50cc scooter off a buddy and have had nothing but trouble with it.....i finally have got it running but now i dont have a brake light and when i looked at it there is only one wire connected and the other two are loose (well duh thats why it didnt work lol).....it looks like it wires directly to the bulb but im not sure how to go about this any help would be much appreciated...i can take pics if needed....and my wires are green with a yellow stripe (not connected) solid green (not connected) and brown (connected)
