I also found this Carb for $60 which seem similar. It says its a 30mm Carb. I'm not sure if the stock carb is 30mm or 32mm the performance ones ive seen are 32mm. Its different on the bottom front. you can see on mine there is a brass nipple. I forget what its to though.

This is the only one I have been able to find that looks like mine but its $170. Ebay Carbscrappy has a 32mm carb it says is for the linhai but has a different bracket for the throttle cable. Does the different bracket work with the scooter just differently? If so I might try that one its like $120

Hi everyone havent been on the boards in awhile. bought a Honda NC700XD last spring and my 2 scooters have just been sitting in the garage. I absolutely love the NC700 though has a DCT and trunk for storage, everything I wanted in a scooter with a lot more power and performance. Anyway. I think I'm going to sell my Linhai 260 so have been getting it cleaned up. Started painting it this weekend. Its had a bad hesitation going from idle to speed for a long time. Once it switches to the main jet it runs fine but in stop and go traffic its awful. Ive cleaned the carb several times including the jets. Either something is seriously wrong in the jets or I suspect its the diaphragm that doesn't seat properly. So Im looking either for a rebuild kit or a new carb. Hopefully a reasonably priced one trying not to dump a ton more money into it cause I know I wont get it back. Here are some pics of the type I have.

Hello I went to adjust my valves today while I had all the plastics off hoping it would solve the problem Ive been having since the winter. When I went to set TDC i realized the sprocket and the silver washer like thing on top are lined up so the holes go straight through both. So this doesn't let you see the mark to line it up. Here is hat it should look like. i173.photobucket.com/albums/w59/RubiconTX/scooter/scoot001.jpgSo what I did was get it so both valves where up and full compression with the arrow near the oil plug lined up. It looked like it was close to where the line should be so I hope it was right.

Started tuning my Linhai 260 getting high in milage. So while changing my brakes and building pressure in the lines the little bubble that tells you your brake fluid level cracked and leaked. So rather then pay 100$ for a new one or take a chance on a similar but different on ebay, I fixed it with a dime. A dime fits perfectly in the whole and I even managed to get the metal ring that held the glass in on top of it. Also I need to rebuild the carb, bad diaphragm. Anyone know of a kit? Attachments:

called over to sunright got a couple parts but I know a few should be the same as a lot of the other 260 clones and might be cheaper. Like rotors, variator and rollers?
Also is there a rebuild kit for the Carb somewhere?

Im looking for a bunch of parts to tune up the scoot about to hit 10k so time to replace things. 1st i found these brake pads can someone confirm they are the right pads? www.partsforchinesescooters.com/2/Rear_Brake_Pads_Linhai_Powermax_260-2225.htmlAlso i found 2 different drive belt sizes what is the better way to go and what are the differences? I want to replace all the vacuum and fuel hoses can anyone recommend a good source? Lots of other parts but this is a start. Mike
