I keep reading people recommend "Re-Jetting", could someone please explain this to me, or preferably, a link to an instructional video or document explaining how to do this? It appears to be something I really should do before I ride the bike and would like to know how to do this. Thanks in advance.

Jerseyboy, thank you so much for the information. With your information and what I have found from Youtube, I am confident again in the purchase of the Roketa. Where would I get those upgraded parts from? In the addition to the oil change every 500 miles, those upgrades in your first paragraph, do they apply (in addition to the 2nd. paragraph) to the Roketa link I sent or was that specific for the TaoTao? Thanks in advance. You are being very helpful and I sincerely appreciate it.
Edit: Thanks to the others also for their reply. I didn't see you guys at first. Also, with the price for the TaoTao from Superior Power Sports, I can easily budget the upgrades and come in under budget. WIth this information and what I have found on Youtube, I am confident I can handle most things, even with my non mechanical skills. Also, what site would I purchase these parts from? I am looking at Motorcycle Superstore right now, and when I look for Air Filters, Exhaust and Spark Plugs, I get no option for TaoTao. Am I support to or is this normal? Any recommendations on that also? Thanks guys.

I am new to the board (obviously) and new to scooters, mopeds, and motorcycles in general. I am not going to get to far in to detail why but I need a 150cc+ scooter for under $1,200.00. I am wanting to purchase it next Friday but need recommendations of which is best. I will be riding it in rain and sun shine for a few months and then I am getting something bigger and better. I do not have much mechanical experience with motors or car in general. I am comfortable doing small work with detailed instructions, no problem there. I also do not mind taking the to the shop to have fixed so as long as we are not talking about $200.00 a week on repairs. What are my options guys?
