One other item to verify is if your CDI is a DC or AC CDI. hook up the battery or jumper turn the key on and test the BOTTOM WIRE on the 2 PLUG CDI if it registers 12v your wiring is a DC sytsem and you may have the wrong CDI. And in that case I would hook up a battery. Alleyoop It's an ac cdi for sure.

The Trigger (blue/white) should output at least 0.05vAC The Stator (red/black) should output between 20vAC-100vAC So it sounds like your stator it putting out a good signal and power. The output from the CDI should be 18vAC or more Only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is that your engine is not properly grounded. Your coil might be bad. Even new chinese parts aren't known for their quality. The coil should measure 0.1ohm-1.0ohm across the two terminals The coil reads about .450 ohms after I touch it and then drops down to 0. I have checked all my grounds. Should I add any additional grounds aside from the cdi ground?

Check the CDI ground wire. It should be green. Put an extra ground wire to the motor. If it still does not run remove the black/white wire. If it runs now you have a bad kill switch or ignition switch. If it still does not run your cdi or coil is bad. The other thing it could be is a bad stator. You said you have voltage from the stator but do you have a signal pulse from it. You need to have both for it to work. Check the yellow and black wire that goes from the cdi to the coil for voltage. If you have voltage there then the coil is bad. If you have no voltage there then check the stators ignition pulse (blue/white) wire. If you have no voltage to this wire then the stator needs to be replaced. If you have voltage on the ignition pulse wire (blue/white) and the AC Ignition Power wire (Black/Red) but not on the (black/yellow) wire to the coil then the cdi is bad. I have tried all of that and still no spark. Also in regards to the stator; one of the wires gets up to 60.00 vac and the other has like .200 vac. Does this sound accurate?

Hello all!
I've read online and I realize I'm beating the dead horse with this one but please lend a hand if you can.
I have a chinese gy6 scooter. It has voltage at the stator wire but not the ignition wires.
I bought a new cdi and a new coil and still nothing. Tried old cdi and coil as well.
The entire bike is torn apart and I'm racking my brain with this one...
I should note that I have no battery so for all tests I've been using my charger or the jump start setting.
Any guesses?
Thanks!
