If this post is not allowed, please just delete it. I have been riding motorcycles of all kinds for the last 50 years or so. Everything from 50cc to 1500cc bikes. I'm contacting you to see if your club has any interest in attending a "Adventure" motorcycle ride this December 10 & 11. We set this ride up for just about any bike (including scooters) with a street/dirt option where we have detours around any dirt road that is not hard packed. We also have a street only option with no dirt roads at all. The Apollo Motorcycle Club is a non-profit motorcycle club that's been around since the late 60's. Every December we do a "Adventure" Motorcycle Ride on paved and dirt roads around central FL to help raise money to pay for the land that we lease to ride dirt bikes and quads on. These adventure rides are designed around bigger 650-1200cc adventure bikes but we get everything from 250cc bikes to GS BMW's attending our event (even some Harleys!). While we never had any scooters...I thinks scooters would be a great fit for this kind of ride. We provide the route sheets so everyone can go at their own pace (most people ride in small groups of 3-5 bikes). You have to provide your own route sheet holder, they can be found at local shops or on line: www.amazon.com/MSR-Sheet-Holder-Hardware Universal/dp/B0068FXCPG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473208921&sr=8-1&keywords=route+sheet+holder. At least one person (your leader) in each group needs to have a route sheet holder so he/she can follow the route. Saturdays ride is a different ride every year. This year the route starts at the club property in Samsula, FL and follows dirt and paved roads (unless you take the street option) to Crescent City where everyone will have lunch. After lunch you ride a different way back to Samsula. The total route is around 160 miles (150 miles for the street route) passing by scenic area's around central FL. Sunday you have the option of riding a second 120 mile adventure ride (with stops at historic points of interest around the space coast... many are space related) or you can ride your dirt bike on the club roads and trails. If you pre-register the entry fee covers a event T-shirt, primitive camping (we have port-a-potties and hot showers at our camping area), along with breakfast and dinner Saturday (we throw in breakfast Sunday too). Note that pre-registration ends on Nov 23. Go to our website www.apollomotorcycleclub.com/ and click on the event to see a flier. You can also contact me for more info. Thanks! Bill Hills
