Not sure what the diff is. Isn't malt liquor beer? How about a nice bourbon ball instead? We let them sit in the closed container a few days to ripen edit to say when I took bourbon balls to work, they sure made a number of coworkers cough and wheeze and pant for air....

"Not sure what the diff is. Isn't malt liquor beer?" I'm glad you asked that 'Kat. Kevin has once again chosen two very worthy competitors. "Malt liquor is a strong lager or ale in which sugar, corn or other adjuncts are added to the malted barley to boost the total amount of fermentable sugars in the wort, and thus boost the final alcohol concentration without creating a heavier or sweeter taste." To paraphrase, Malt Liquor is beer with a higher alcohol content at a low cost. Its been around a long time. At least since the 70s. Craft brew beers often have a higher alcohol content, but are of distinct varieties. They cost more and have more costly ingredients. The modern India Pale Ales (IPAs) dominate the Craft Brew market around here. They have a very high alcohol content (too high for me). I'm mainly a wine drinker but enjoy an occasional craft brew ale. I like Bourbon a little too much so I have been avoiding it.

Okay, thanks 'bender.
Don't worry about my bourbon balls, according to my coworker once I cook them then of course all the alcohol goes away leaving just the taste. ...of course, I don't cook the bourbon balls. You just mix the ingredients then roll them into little balls in the powdered sugar, then like I said let them sit sealed up for a few days.
>'Kat, also a wine drinker--a dessert/sweet wet red wine drinker....

Gotta be Malt Liquor... The most hilarious and "politically incorrect" slogan had to be on "Mickey's Malt Liquor"... It featured a drunken Irishman (in leprechaun attire) hanging off a lamp-post and copy reading "MICKEY'S MALT LIQUOR GETS YOU THERE QUICKER"... Now THAT is MACHO... Ride safe and don't consume too much of either one while riding... LOL!
