Hi, I just was wondering if anybody with my bike or Roketa knows whats wrong to save me some diagnostic time. All of a sudden yesterday I went to start my scoot again. The dash lights won't come on and the starter button won't start it. But if I jump my starter relay / solenoid it will start up. But gauges are eratic and wrong . Key all of a sudden has no effect on anything ? What besides my ignition switch would do this. Or is that it, my ignition switch went bad ? Let me answer my own question for someone elses benefit mainly. It was the fuse hidden in the starter relay or starter solenoid to us old schoolers. It is a 20 amp blade fuse. And again it is kind of hidden in the plug I mentioned. You have to unplug said relay to see it. Then believe it or not I started it and it was running fine at an idle when all of a sudden it just quit running Bam ! If I have no spark I bet it is the coil, No ? JCL MP250A Lihai 257cc powered I ordered a CDI for about $10 and a coil for about $7 off Fleabay yesterday. Boy, These Chinese Scooters might break down a lot but the parts can be had for dirt cheap ! Heck, these parts for a Jap dirt bike would have been $100 clear back in the late 70s . They are Supposed to be here by Mon. If this thing keeps needing work  I think a Honda Forza 300 is in my future. |
