Maybe getting a scooter was the wrong thing to do. Made me realize how much I miss street riding. It's been almost 7 years since I've had a dedicated street bike. As a youngin I had always wanted this bike. Found a great deal on one so low balled the guy in an email and even told him i didn't expect to hear from him. He actually called me and told me what he could do. With new tires and fork seals i payed more than i had budgeted but still think it was a good deal...until..LOL Here is the new to me motorcyce. Sounds awesome and the engine is sweet. Rear shock sucks....literally, i can hear it. Front shocks are air and I know nothing about what/how to adj psi in them. Supposidly they don't make valves for this anymore so when i blow up the motor i'm out of luck...not sure.

Ebay is your friend for parts.... I ride vintage bikes too... I don't care for sport bikes, but I always had a soft spot for the interpreter... Anything for a v4-500 should fit (from the sabre or magna) engine parts wise. Keep the revs above 3k... they had cam bearing oiling problems if you lugged them.
Interrupter was the Ninja of my generation!

I understand your enthusiasm after researching the Interceptor 500. I did not realize that Honda produced a 500cc version of that v-four engine for a few years. I think that Interceptor 500 is the best looking of all the Honda v-fours. The other Interceptors and Magnas just don't have the great visual proportions of the 500, in my opinion.

Just put over 140 miles on it commuting to work and the starter button crapped out on me. It's like a crap shoot trying to find a replacement from a different bike/year that will work. Ordered something off of ebay that i have high hopes for...LOL
If it wasn't supposed to be extremely stormy here i'd put gas and battery back in the scooter and ride that. Heck i'll probably do that next week since it'll be awhile since i get the motorcycle up and running again.

Pics of that bad boy would be appreciated. *I honestly didn't know there were different variations of the vfr750. LOL, i think at that age i knew what NASCAR was and no other racing existed. **almost got it back up and running. Just got a petcock rebuild kit so hoping after that i can start her back up again. The start/stop control harness was too short so had to splice some of the old into the new to make it long enough. I should have just soldered it in but my boss was being a dillhead.
