More info on the Kymco...
Seller says bike needs a new rear tire, as well as a carb cleaning, but he is still riding it to and from work, so it runs. He was cut off 2 years ago, and scooter went down (note bent rear brake lever), but he claims he took it to the local dealer, and it checked out mechanically. Recent oil and gear oil change, air filter, exhaust.

Oh, I know. You're gonna say "But it's probably sold already." Doesn't matter. Piggy first. Then I'd go Kymco based on how much Leo loves--excuse me, LURVES!!!!--his.
Although that Sym does look really nice. A eh-hem "200"cc. Flat floorboard (something else Leo raves about). Big wheels (something *I* rave about!) I know you said it's out of your price range, but the seller didn't say firm so it's worth a try dickering. Or maybe you've got something to trade and drop the cost some?

No Kat, I would want the Piaggio first, but it would seem that ship has sailed, on the SYM HD200 that is a bike that has won the Cannonball at least once, is very reliable and you can get parts for them.  |

Turns out Piggy IS still available - although the ad says "text or call", phone number provided is a landline...  She responded to my e-mail... It is too much $$ for current budget -  - if any of you are in striking distance, go for it!  Meanwhile, I'll see if I can sell some blood, plasma, or an extra organ...  |
