The "12" in the XYT 12 whatever battery you have. I had one like yours and its a bit to tall to fit in may JCL 250s battery box. It jacks my seat up a bit. The right batt. for my scoot always seems to have a 9 in the identification numbers / letters. Ah. Gotcha! Hopefully the gel battery will do you much better than you've been getting before. Do you plug into a Battery Tender Jr when you're not driving your scoot? >'Kat

No I don't. I was going to start doing that. But the Gel batteries don't like Float chargers and such I've been told. ?

Well, My battery got lost / stolen once it left the mail facility in Columbus Ohio. Batt. was supposed to be here 7/29 . Finally got the Ebay seller to respond to the problem. He said He will send another Gel Batt. right out. We'll see how this goes ? It is now 8 /8 and I am still not riding. Guess the Ebay Bike Master deal wasn't so great after all.

Well, Finally got one of the Gel battery's sent to me. Seller sent a replacement for the one that was lost. I think I got the battery he originally sent me today. Told Ebay seller if I get a second one I would send it back to him. Nice strong starting power it has. At least while its new. .

Having fuel pump problems and turning the starter a lot. Battery is a real trooper. Seems to turn and turn and turn the motor when having problems and while fixing scooter. Very pleased so far with this Bike master MG9-BS $64 to door. Not cheap, But not a rip off either.

New fuel pump would starve out the motor at about sustained 60 mph running. I can't understand why because when I pulled the hose off the carb so I could turn the motor over and see how much fuel it pumps with each engine vacuum pulse it pumped plenty to run a 250. , It looked like enough to run a car ! So anyway I put another new fuel pump I have on the scooter, Adjusted the exhaust valve while I was right in the area of the belly. Started her up with no issues. In a tuck it will get my 260 lbs butt up to about 71. But still couldn't go any faster than 64-68 one up top speed. I may put that 32mm carb I got in the mail today on tomorrow. I hope it's won't become a nightmare to make run right. Read more: scooterrebels.proboards.com/thread/2676/miles-hour-257-linhai-jcl#ixzz4Hw8ffDzv

JCL MP250A Lihai 257cc powered / Update, The battery I bought last August is still a trooper. No signs of ageing and/or weakening. If this keeps up I am loyal to a battery brand now. Everything I bought before this battery online was junk. A lot of times I would have to nurse them along just to get a year or more out of them. I'm sold so far on Bikemaster gel batts. Will keep you members updated. If your anything like me you have had battery problems in these 250 scoots. Especially in the far south where its above 100 F degrees a lot.
