lain When I installed it it wasn't protruding from the sides, since the dealer replaced it it sticks out. I ordered a new gasket and piston rings, they should arrive next week, I hope that fixes the problem. Another very important area to check are the Crank Shaft Seals on Any Two Stroke. The 50cc is Really Sensitive to Air Leaks and her Crank Seals are a Major Overlooked Source of that. If there is even a question or they weren't replaced, Replace them. Any endless jetting/mixture issue's were almost always Crank Seals. Be very careful, there small, if your unsure have someone Competent install them for you.

pistonguy is there any way to check for crank seal leaks without disassembling much of the engine? Here's pics of the base gasket
