There is a 2008 Baccio VX150 on my local Craigslist - guy is asking $675 - here is the ad - treasure.craigslist.org/mcy/5359564287.html.

I have texted him - scoot has 3000 miles - he is 2nd owner - bought from his friend 2 years ago, who bought it new. Selling it because he "doesn't ride it".

Are these really bad - or is it possibly an ok scoot?

Text of ad:

"Perfect running condition and carries 2 people without any problem and cruises easily at 45/50 mph. New battery and tires, needs nothing. Dependable transportation or just for fun, never abused. This scooter is ready to enjoy. I'm retired and can show it most any time."

I like it better for $5-600,,,,but if it's super clean and runs well,,,,,but I'd give it the real long look to make sure everything is kosher,,,no oil leaks ,,,lites work brakes the whole thing,,,

Going to see it after work at 5:15-5:30 - will check it over as well as possible without disassembly...

Was planning to offer $500 initially (assuming I am interested) and see where things go from there...

It looks as if it was at least in a garage most of the time...

Oh - it has been on Craigslist for 7 days now...

Ladies and Gentlemen - I would like to announce the purchase of my first scooter!

It would, of course, be the above-referenced 2008 Baccio VX 150! Ended up with more like 5000 miles (8101 km). Started and ran flawlessly, rode with no vibration (nice, still mirrors!), newer belt and tires and new battery, no rattles. Paid $650 for her. No leaks - good brakes - smooth acceleration - good power. All lights work - all plastics in great shape - doesn't appear to have ever been dropped.

My wife and I look forward to many miles of scooting fun!

All he has to do is put it in a dark corner of the garage with a cover.... it will multiply on it's own.

Bikes tend to do that. I own three now..... and I'm looking at a forth.

The first one was my son's Puma Fox electric bicycle/scooter...sort of this:
