Don't know what is going on. All of a sudden getting a shimmy on take off(when sheave moves) Tried all kinds of stuff. Ran diff variators and whole different clutches. Inspected stuff and I keep getting slippage under these brief tests. Seems outside of clutch pad slips. I know a little, but must be missing something. Any help waaay welcomed.

starting too slow on a regular basis, or having too high of an idle (tire turns if on center stand but not when on the side stand, meaning constant contact while you aren't moving) will glaze the clutch pads and they do not grip well until under a descent load. A light sanding on all three pads (from shiny dark chocolate to dull light), should fix this.

I'd be wiping the inside of the clutch bell swept area as well

Way been there and done those...good insight,But I have been aware of this. That's why is driving me crazy. Just did another set of pads on a new banjing drum. Shakes like nobody's business. I'm lost on this. Thanks for ideas. I have had a problem in past with glazing cause my one scoot's rear actually does not spin even when on double stand.Weird brake grab until weight is on it. It's gotta be something. I also try to give a set amount of juice to like 3-5 mph to avoid. It's crazy how much I took apart my cvt...like4-5 times today. Tomm I will try an old stock drum, maby better luck, for now

Have you checked the final gears? I had the plastic washer in there wear out on an old scooter and create bad pickup and skreaching on takeoff unless you gave it a lot of gas so it would get above 5 where the noise stopped.
