When I first got my 650 I threw my iPhone in the compartment and took off home. When I got home and pulled it out, the back of my case was scratched up bad. I was dumb should have known but 9pm in Palm Springs to buy this thing.....was not thinking!
So I did a DIY.
First I was lucky to still have that rubber crap I put in my shelves for dishes. Then I took a ruler and some paper and made a template.
After that I placed the paper in and bent it around the turn causing a seam. After just cut some slips and did the final tuning.
One cut of the rubber makes two, being both sides are the same just opposite. (When doing this pay attention one side of the rubber is more bubbly and better for grip)
Tape the template to the rubber.
Cut out and place them on a towel outside to spray paint, unless you buy black!
Here it is painted.
And installed
