So I am using a 24mm carb on my big valve 50mm bbk setup. I want to use a # main jet but the only one I have is from a keihin 18mm carb. Can I use the main jet from the smaller carb or do larger carbs use larger threads?

So I found out the answer, it is no. The larger 24mm carburetors seem to take .8mm threads while the smaller carburetors use .7mm threads.

how are you measuring? I have jets from like 80 to 145. John I emailed the guy I ordered both carbs from and he let me know the threads were different sizes. I also tried and it didn't seem to fit right after the first like quarter turn of screwing it in. I will be needing a # jet for 24mm carburetor (150cc carb) but can't find it without having to buy an entire kit of jets and I already know it was running slightly rich with the 100 jet on my 50mm bbk.
