The new Ford pickup truck has aluminum body panels for light weight and efficiency. I don't think efficiency is very macho.

Sorry, 'bender, but my friend's "old" Chevy must've been aluminum also, 'cause magnets wouldn't hold on the sides. Just the hood. So that's a wash.

NASCAR cup race cars still use rear suspension components from Chevy C-10 pickup trucks. Suspension components that will handle 800 horsepower and huge lateral forces for 500 miles are macho. (My truck is a Nissan, by the way).
