Hey y'all. So my girl's 150cc Roma won't start for the most part. Sometimes it does start and run as long as it gets throttle, then it will stall and won't start again. Cleaned the spark plug, started right up, stalled, and is doing the same thing. Found a gas leak, fixed it, still no luck. Its the gy6 motor with 1400 miles on it. Any ideas?

Set the valves, then tune the carb.

We actually wound up putting a new spark plug in and that seemed to do the trick . Now the bike idles weird though. no matter where I set the idle, it will switch from idling to high to idling just right to stalling in any order no matter where I adjust the idle. Any ideas?

You have an air leak in one of the hoses. Check the hoses coming off of the intake manifold nipples. Check the intake manifold. Make sure it is snug to the carb. Make sure there are no cracks in it. Set the valves.

^Bingo turns out it was the valves needing to be reset. Almost no compression. Putting in an aftermarket carb and resetting all the valves this weekend hopefully this thing will be running like a champ soon
