What part does the clicking sound come from when squeezing the front brake lever. Is it from the master cylinder? Something is broken in there because I haven't heard it click for awhile and my brake light doesn't work using the front brake.

It's the brake light switch, usually located under the brake handle and reservoir, a part of the handle pushes the switch. Some are rectangular, others are round, most are black with two wires coming out of them. Check the handle tab to see if it broke off, if not, the switch is cheap to replace.

I agree with jerryscript would just like to add look before taking apart. Locate the button and try wiggling it with a small flat head screw driver it could just be stuck. Happened on my last scoot.

Thanks for the replies, I'll give it a look. I have to replace the master cylinder soon due to a small leak while I'm at it. Not sure why I thought that clicking sound might be from the master cylinder, lol.

If you have a leaky master cylinder, it could be the plunger making noise, but I would bet the "click" noise is the switch.

Well I received my new master cylinder today and surprisingly it has the front brake switch bolted on it already-- it didn't say in the description or show that in the pic. So now I have 3 brand new front brake switches! Lol.
