You know how many old time generators do both AC and DC outputs? You made this statement awhile back: OK if this is the case then the stator that was asked about here clearly has the dedicated coil and wire to the CDI and is AC so it can't be a DC stator if we go by what you said? A DC stator can still have a dedicated AC coil for the CDI again it depends on how the other 10 coils are configured, one can buy both type stators a dedicated ground or a floating ground, they make both. Lastly there are 4-pin full wave R/R's the number of wires is not the determining factor, it's the Diodes and rectifiers that tell the story. JR
