Yeah , we know , lol . I just like to think of other ways to cool these things , lol. if i was going to do anything other than buying a bolt on water cooled engine then i'd cut vents in the plastic. add a couple hoses and connect to the air box (edit: oops, meant cooling shroud. forgive me, its late) and/or direct to the valve cover. only problem i can see with that idea is at idle. idk if it would raise the temp at idle. it would certainly lower it at WOT. Ive thought about that also . I also thought about cutting a couple Holes in the front fairing, behind the front wheel . maybe two 6 inch holes that run all the way through to where your legs set. I'd have 6 inch PVC run the length of the holes . this way a lot of the wind resistance caused by the front fairing will be negated . I you can get the wind to run through the PVC and come out on an angle , you may be able to gain a couple MPH . we all know how much wind resistance slows us down. you can probably run a couple smaller 3 inch holes and PVC closer to the bottom of the fairing. And run the air straight back to the engine compartment " right under the floor board". You could always make some plugs , just in case it is going to rain .
