Some attach at the oil drain plug, the one with the filter screen, and then return to your oil fill spout. Others are more involved, where you have to tap into the block, engine comes out tho.

That's a great price ,$29 . the newer tadia cases have hookups toward the front of the engine case for the oil cooler . we would hook the lines up to drain outlet where the oil screen goes. I'm thinking you can also hook it up with one line on the screen drain side and one on the other drain " under the CVT. But not sure .

I had a small thread about an oil tank I wanted to add to the scoot with a pump . I never got around to it yet , but it would work almost like a cooler . the engine would have to heat 3 quarts instead of nearly 1 . with the oil rotating , it would cool pretty nice .

Yes it is just plug an play . what you need it the part the replaces the drain cap that holds the screen. Its probably a good idea to get a high flow oil pump also . I don't think its 100% necessary but it would probably help.

Everybody that is taking part this thread... These things are a bad idea. I've researched the heck out of these things and instead of helping cool the oil, they can lead to hot spots and make changing your oil about 100 x times more difficult.
Inside your engine you have channels that route the flow of oil... You disrupt that flow with one of these...
My opinion, stay away from these things. They are gimmicky, nothing more and you will regret your decision in the long run... Plus, I advise you to do searches for old threads.. There's plenty of people that has tried this gadget and were unhappy with the results.
Geh is right, Taida sells both, 54 and 57mm r side crankcase's... In addition, the GY6 store sells them for much cheaper. If you're wanting an oil cooler, get a crankcase and do it the right way.

This way your oil is not just rotating through the cooler and not pulling oil from the crank case . if you hook it up right , the oil that is going through the cooler will definitely make its way back into the crankcase and mix with the rest of the oil .

I mention I was going to make an oil tank . this is what I was going to do . First I want to mount a 2 quart oil tank under the seat. Next I would buy a connector that threads into the oil drain under the CVT , and buy a connector that takes the place of the dipstick. I would have to buy a small oil pump and connect it to the hose coming from the CVT side drain " I'd probably put a one way valve on this line close to the CVT side drain " . the pump would pull the oil out of the crank case , up through the one way valve , then the oil make its way into the tank . the oil input on the tank will be on top of the tank , but I would have the line run to the bottom of the tank on the inside , so the oil enters the tank in the bottom. The output would also be on top of the tank . the oil would be forced out of the tank as the the oil enters. From there the oil will drain into the crank case through the dipstick port. Doing it this way ensures the exact amount of oil that is pumped from the tank enters the tank at the same time. I would install a shutoff valve about 2 inches up from the dipstick port so it makes it easy to check oil level and change and add oil. You would first fill the crank case with the normal amount of oil , then fill the oil tank . the one way valve will ensure no oil drains back into the tank when the scoot shuts down . here is a n illustration.

Drain port under the cvt? The one under the flywheel? On the 150cc engines " not sure about the 50cc" there is an oil drain port under the CVT cover towards the front of the engine.
