My scoot picked a bad smoking habit the engine is less than 10k miles old and the spark plug color doesn't show signs of burning oil. What are common causes of a smoky scoot?

Light gray smoke, btw.

Well, my scoot spews out some smoke atm because I have it a little on the rich side. But only a very tiny bit and usually only at startup. Other than having a rich condition, I'm not sure.
Does it smell like gas or smell like oil or have no smell at all? If there is smoke it means it didn't completely burn SOMETHING, and it's most likely gas if not oil.

If is constantly smoking, then it's either oil or a broken exhaust. If it just smokes a while after startup, it could be condensation, especially this time of year.

It smokes for several minutes after a cold start, specially if I give it throttle, it smells more like gas.

If it's fuel, then it's time to check the head. A leak down test, or just go ahead and lap the valves.
However, the fact it only happens when cold keeps my suspicion pointed at condensation. I wouldn't tear the head down unless there is a loss of power, or the smoke continues after warm up.

My scoot will steam for about 10 minutes on a cold damp day after it has rained and appeared to dry, condensation gets all up in there anyway it can! haha JerryScript What about if your exhaust valve is still open when the engine is turned off, condensation can then also make it's way in there on a bad day, right? The thing about condensation is it can be tricky to know if it is or not unless you have some experience with steam. Steam can look a lot like smoke when coming out of the muffler, and can even carry the unburned byproducts from the muffler out into the air giving you the scent of gas. On a good day with still air you may notice instead of the "smoke" disintegrating in a straight line into the air behind the muffler, it may float upwards and once out of the blow of the muffler begin to look like steam again in it's cloud-like floating way as it disappears.

Does the smoke continue if you try to ride it off after a couple minutes after you start it or does it continue? Do you ever try revving it for a minute or so while still on the stand after warmup? Does that get rid of the smoke or does it continue? What if you ride it off without warming it up? What's the weather like over there?

No smoke today so far today, I guess it was a weather issue, the last few days it was cold, today it is hot.
