I have read a few threads about removing emissions devices, but I am not seeing anything about what to do after you remove the devices. I am mostly concerned about the valve cover drain hose and what to do with it.
Currently I have my valve cover drain hose positioned to drain out the bottom above the CVT cover, which ends up in it draining into the air and a lot of times onto the frame when idling which I do not like. I am sure there has got to be a more eco-friendly safer alternative than draining into the air, maybe a home made valve drain canister or something could be possible from like a soda can or something so it doesn't constrict flow and cause pressure buildup? My friends just plug thier hoses with screws, but that ends up with the screw shooting out later on while driving which sounds like a tire popping, so they stop and scratch their heads all like "whut do?"

I removed in EGR valve and evaporative system and there was no drain hose to deal with.

I just answered this same question on another forum.......Here is what I did. I might add, that I have never had one drop of any liquid drip from the output hose....it is bone dry after 5500 miles and almost 3 years of operation. catch canPS: If you click on each picture, you'll get a larger view, and the caption that is below each

When my engine is on it always spews out a tiny mist through the valve drain hose, and it spews out a thicker mist when going higher RPMs, you can smell warm oil in the air when coming to a stop after going fast. It's not an oil burning smell, just the smell of warm oil if you know what I mean. I've also been noticing my oil has been getting dirty fast and so I'm thinking maybe dirt get's into the oil through here sometimes.
Plus I have to clean up the frame every time I look at it, and I suspect my alarm fried from oil getting in it because I unwrapped my alarm that I had carefully wrapped with electrical tape for extra moisture and vibration protection, but there was a lot of oily wetness in and all over my alarm, so yeah I can't have this happening anymore haha

Lain, you are describing a classic case of excessive blowby.....your piston rings are not sealing the combustion chamber as they should. They are shot... and your engine is due a top end overhaul...or...if it has already been rebuilt or modified with a BBK, then the rings were installed incorrectly. It really doesn't matter which, I'd get it fixed.
The catch can I mentioned above won't help you, at least not until your blowby issue is resolved.

If I were getting oil blowby I'd see it on the spark plug, but it appears to be running normal as far as the plug goes. I did just notice my bolts on the cam were not as tight as they were when I installed the BBK, after tightening them there's nothing coming out of the valve drain hose now and it is MUCH quieter. Not sure why, but I think my bolts keep coming loose.

To answer the original question, put a fuel filter on the end of the valve cover vent tube, then zip tie it up high on the frame.
