Hello all,
I'm new here, and I'm also new to riding. Few months ago I bought a scooter (mentioned in the title) used, and for the most part it worked fine. The problems I faced were that while riding, the scooter would just suddenly cut off and I would have to start it back up (It's remote start so all I had to do was press the button) and it would start back up before I even slowed down. I don't know if that's normal, I assume it's not. Also when I would try to use my turn signals, the hazard lights would activate in stead. At some point they worked, but then that problem started happening again. Another problem I had was when ever it snowed while riding the rpms would suddenly sky rocket then the scooter would cut off and I would usually have to sit there for a few minutes before I could start it again. One day I rode to the store to run an errand and it worked fine ( I assume the earlier problems were due to cold weather.) but that day was actually relatively warm. So anyway. I was gone for 15 minutes and when I get back to my scooter it was completely unresponsive. The remote start didn't work at all. After several minutes I was able to start it with the start button on the bike but shortly after words it cut off again and wouldn't start. I would press the button and the scooter would try to turn but wouldn't catch. As I continued to try to start it, the turning got slower and slower until it completely stopped and all I heard was the low rapid ticking noise and eventually even that stopped. before when I put the key in the ignition and turned the key, the dash lights would come on, but now that doesn't happen and the only lights i get to work are the hazard lights. I would like to fix it myself, but pin pointing the problem is proving to be a bit difficult. Does anyone know what the causes or causes of this problem might be?

It sounds like you may have a few wires disconnected, fried, or loose. There are a lot of spots you are going to need to check. You may also try checking the spark plug boot to see if it is loose, that may be causing the cutouts, I had that happen once. Most of your lighting issues sound like you either have wires crossed, or they are fried or grounding when not supposed to. Trace ALL the wires in the front of the scooter, I suspect there may be problems in there with your wires. Also check all of the grounding wires, they often come loose and becomes corroded at the ends where they connect to the frame and the engine.

well I checked the front of the scooter and discovered a blown fuse in the front. I changed the fuse and it worked fine for about a week, but I just tried to ride it this morning and it wouldn't start. When i tried to start it, I heard what sounded like the engine spuddering and then I as i tried to start it again (trying to pinpoint the location of the noise) it all but stopped and the only thing I hear when I press the start button all i hear is a very faint ticking noise from the front of the scooter, sounds like it's coming from the box that's labeled with the alarm system. The fuse I replaced a week ago is fine. The only thing I can imagine is the rain may have done something because I leave the scooter outside next to my car and the past few days it rained and at one point I heard thunder so I think there was a very brief storm. Do you think it was possibly rain damage? If so What could the rain have damaged?.
