I just bought a new Tao Tao powermax 150. On the first short ride I found the suspension too be really stiff. Is there a way to adjust it?

some shocks are nonadjustable, i'd have to see pics to be certain. check tire pressure, over inflated tires will also give a stiff ride. rear should be at 33psi when cold.
