So as I was almost the speedometer stopped working.when I got home I checked the dial was still okay but when I removed the wire cable it was evident the cable was repaired before. And once again it was chafed through. Then I remembered that on this forum, the old one that is. The was a case of this happening due to the cable being just to short. After checking for a new one on eBay almost $100 I decided to do a permanent fix. I lengthened the wire 2inches added flexy piping on and it is sorted. Sorry no pics once I start working I just forgot about the pics.

I don't know if he's still riding or not, I know he was pretty bummed out by the earthquake damage in his country. It's too bad because he was a wealth of information on the Citi com.
