An interesting new concept, won't make it to the US, but still interesting to see how the electric vehicle industry is attempting to deal with re-charging. This scooter has no charger, and cannot be plugged in. The batteries get swapped at charging stations, much like Tesla is doing with his super-charger stations here in the US. I'm not convinced swapping batteries is the answer, I'm hoping solar will finally be able to handle recharging. Till then, I'm always interested in stories like this: Meet Gogoro, the outrageous electric scooter of the future.

It would be nice to just swap batteries the same way you swap your propane tank for your grill when empty. Creating infrastructure for recharging batteries sounds much cheaper and easier than creating the infrastructure for hydrogen tank refilling stations. Now we just need to get the industry to agree on a standard battery and connectors.
