We live in the suburbs, with plenty of traffic lights and straight, flat roads. Hauling our scoots out to rural towns with twisty roads is like going to Disney Land for us. -We unstrapped the scooters at Brenham, TX. After a lap around the square, we took old Chappell Road. Old Chappell Road had plenty of curves and scenery. However, there were few places where it was safe to pull over for photos. In my first pic, you can see a white car approaching as I rush to hit the shutter. The shoulder of the road was really soft from recent rains. -We stopped at a Masonic Cemetery, just outside of Chappell Hill. Some veterans of the TX revolution buried there, clearly marked. Someone really has put a lot of effort into maintaining this site. We hit the main drag in Chappell Hill, shown in the second pic. Did some Christmas decoration shopping. Upon return to Brenham, we had lunch at Smitty's Cafe on the square. Great onion rings. Back to traffic lights and straight roads tomorrow.

howdy and thanks for the pic's and the write up. i really like to see peoples different ways to enjoy thier scooters. i just rode the 25 miles or so each way to have lunch with a friend and ran into rain on the return. temperature about 50 degrees but cool with the rain. i stopped at the honda shop and they have a pair of riding pants with zipper most of the way up the outer leg and velcro closures to make a final seal. it looks like they will work. the whole dealership is moving in january so i think i'll go back in december and offer a reduced price from the 150 bucks they are asking. u would be suggesting it would be better to sell than move it-----
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken

Shalomdawg - A guy where I work has similar riding pants. They attach with snaps along the inseam so he doesn't have to slide them over his feet. They are a lot warmer than a pair of slacks alone.

howdy, yup, i also have a realy light overpant that has a zipper and is mostly waterproof. my problem is getting them off since i can't bend enough to grab them so they have to open enough too step on the cuff with the other foot to get them off. that makes it impossible to do with elastic on the cuff. the kind that open up entirely would maybe work but i would not want a movie take of the attempt----
