Hello everyone! I recently decided that I'm going to soon become a scooter owner. I haven't completely decided on the scoot I want, but I've been considering a Tao Tao Roman 150 (Orange) which I hope to get from a dealer about an hour away from me. I've been researching a lot when I came across this forum and I hope to learn even more since I'm now a part of it! ^^

Serisu,
Welcome to the site! This is a friendly place, full of good advice and comradeship... Having purchased my first scooter over the Internet, eight years ago, I do recommend buying from a local dealer if possible. Sounds like you already have one picked out. The scoot may cost a little more that way, but if the dealer is good, having him available for potential problem-solving is worth it.
I've ridden now for over a half-century, mostly on big bikes... Nowadays, arthritis and old age have me back to scooters (particularly flat-floor, step-through models)... LOL! Trust me, scooters are a whole different animal from big motorcycles... But in a good way. Affordable, cheap to insure, easy to work on, super-simple to ride... Very enjoyable.
Ride safe!
