Hi there, and welcome to the forum!
I've a couple books specifically on scooters (and know of several others). And some good ones on motorcycles and riding, that apply equally as well to scooters.
What were you wanting from the book?

I have ridden motorcycles for over 30years, but I am new to scooters. I traded a Honda VTX1300R for a Kymco Grandvista 250cc. I am 74yo and the Honda got too big for me. I have downloaded the Grandvista service manual. What I want is a book that explains how things work, general service, common repairs. The kind of book that has the tips and tricks of scootering. P.S. Love my Kymco Grandvista 250CC. I am still getting used to not shifting gears.

Well, I won't be much help then, I'm afraid. Mine aren't mechanical. But I did look in the back of my books. There's one non-brand-specific manual listed. I do not have any knowledge of its quality, helpfulness, or anything about it--I haven't read it.
Twist and Go Scooters 50 to 250cc --Phil Mather
However, there are several books written by the Dregnis. The ones I've read weren't mechanical, but were very interesting.
Sorry I can't help better than that. My reading interest is in driving safely and in culture.
