Saw this on youtube, from what I can tell it's a short road test outside the JMstar plant. (Doesn't to my eyes look to be a copy of anything)

Wow, I didn't even notice the dual front discs. (thanks for pointing that out.) As for price, as the build quality goes up so will the cost. You just may be seeing the beginning of the end for the "Cheap" Chinese scooter. EJL*

Yeah really,, I dont think they will be as much as the other higher quality scoots but I think the price will definitely go up..was just reading the other day about rear disk and people wishing the chinese would put them on the scoots. Its good to see more technology going into their work.Seems like the chinese have the technology to build great quality products,,I just hope they keep the basic stuff available for guys like us who like to tinker,,ya know

Making it higher quality will come in time. Just look at what happened with Hyundai cars, from the pits in quality to now rated higher than Toyota. BTW, (as a sidebar issue) did you notice the roads and buildings? As good as any in the "western world" Oh yeah, when I mentioned the end of the cheap scooter, I was originally going to use this "Happy face"...? Hope we can still get "tinker scoots" too.

Yes, I can tell you they're NOT getting there.
To me, it has some Honda "looks", not exact, but similar. For example, the headlights remind me of the Reflex and the rear passenger foot pegs remind me of those on the Silverwing scooter. Almost exact copies in fact. Even the drive line cover reminds me of the cover on the Reflex, though here it is silver colored, but on the Reflex it is gloss black. Even the plastic covers on the handlebars are kind of like the covers on a Reflex or Silverwing.
Those are very original looking tail lights to me and I like them but the front really doesn't match the back end. To me, the headlights should have been a bit more squarish/angular looking to match the front turn signals and the lights and hand rail at the rear and not cat eyed/pointy/rounded. And if they just would not have used exact copies of the Honda Silverwing passenger foot rests.... JEEZ! PULEEZ!
Don't the Chinese have ANY original styles/designs? Seems to be pretty pathetic that all they seem to be able to do is copy others work. And then superficially at that. It just doesn't come up to the standard of the originals in quality. A pig with lipstick is still a pig.

Well it has two wheels and handle bars so it's obviously a copy! Maybe the designers just watched the same TV shows growing up? (BTW, Yeah a whole one and a half cranks! ) ( from Gerry Anderson 60's TV show "Stingray")

VERY sharp scoot!
I especially like the dual-disks and the shaded instruments, so you can see them in bright sunlight.
Beautiful area too... How'd ya' like to have roads empty of traffic like that here? Nice riding conditions, but a little sad too. Not a lot of vehicles around.
