Glad i'm not the only one who thought the wind was scary. but i though of something that might be part of the problem. my scoot has a flat seat not one of those 2 part ones for a passenger, i like to sit near the back of the seat because im over 6 feet and its more comfortable otherwise my knees are too close to the handle bars. maybe theres too much weight in the back and it effects handling?
i really dont know but there are foot pegs you can get for this scoot (150cc ruckus clone) so you put your feet more forward.

Wind and blow-by from semi trucks can be very scary. When I was 22, I rode my Honda CB550F from Kansas City to Reno. One of the best trips of my life, camping in state parks along the way, and enjoying the ride! There was one hairy time coming into Salt Lake City. There is a long down hill section of the highway going into Salt Lake City, and the semi trucks were flying down it, and it was raining, and it was about 12:30am. One truck flew by me just as a gust of wind hit, and together the disturbance blew me off the road. The rain saved me, the median was grassy and soaked from the rain, so I essentially slide about yards. Got up, took about 4 minutes getting my helmet off, then another half hour pulling the mud and grass out of the helmet and every part of my bike. Rolled on into Salt Lake City, and they have a KOA just inside the city. Pulled in there, and the night clerk happened to be outside the office. I asked him for a space, and a hose. I was very lucky that night, if the ground had not been wet I would have had some serious rash and possibly worse injuries!
