i was trying to remember exactly how and when the current symptoms started. obviously should have mentioned this earlier but my mind doesn't work as well as it used too.
after i drilled out the plug to access the screw i attempted to adjust with a homemade tool. it was difficult to reach but i did richen the mixture a little. drove it to work and back home everything was fine. the next day i rode 3 miles with no problems and then near my destination i noticed a loss of power. on my ride home acceleration was slow and top speed was 35mph indicated.
what should i check first?

i suspect the problem may not be related to the lean condition though so starting a new thread. searching the web hasn't helped me pinpoint the problem but it has given me a couple things to check. ignition coil and pick up coil... i don't know how to test other than swapping for one that is working. any ideas?
it will rev up to 7,000rpm (with more to give) on the stand but with load will barely hit 5,000 rpms (iicr). i'll dbl check that later today if that information is important.
it's a 2012 150cc jonway with 145km.
i'll have to work on it again friday.
