OK. I am new here but have been looking for a solution to my "no spark" problem. ALL of the procedures I have found to check the coil condition have been the same procedure -- check coil primary and secondary. There are two more things that need to be checked if your coil primary is good, but your secondary checks as bad. The assembly that is always shown is the coil, plug wire, and spark plug connector. The plug wire screws into the coil and the other end screws into the spark plug connector. The problem can also be with either of these two parts. Check the resistance of the spark plug wire and if bad it can be replaced. Then check the resistance through the spark plug connector and if bad it can also be replaced.
I had the oem assembly and had no spark and checked out as secondary being bad. So like everyone else I ordered a new coil assembly. While waiting for it to arrive I disassembled the oem assembly ( coil, plug wire, and plug connector) and tested each piece. Coil ok, plug wire ok, spark plug connector BAD. Guess what... the new coil assembly arrived and I decided to check it prior to installing it. It also had a bad spark plug connector.
So I am just relaying my suggestions to try to possibly save someone a few $$.
