no pig tale , remove the pins from the plug on the blue one . Then you will have the plug you need that is empty . then install the pins from the variable timing cdi to the plug from the blue one .
Make sense ?

John, yes it does. But will this get rid of the advanced timing? I am still leery of the advance timing. Carl

John, I think the man just wants a CDI that is not rev-limited with no fixed advance timing programmed in it. So any of the none-rev-limited CDIs will do which are a dime a dozen.
Karl, question WHY do you think you need a new CDI? If you have a 150+ the CDIs are NOT rev-limited. If it is a 50cc it may or may not have a rev-limited CDI and you would know it had a rev-limted CDI by the symptons.
So could you clarify why you think you need a CDI other than the one that is currently on the scoot? Alleyoop

You do not adjust the fuel mix to adjust the IDLE you adjust the IDLE SPEED screw on the carb to raise or lower the idle.
If you need help identifying what does what on your carb Take a pic of your carb BOTH SIDES. Alleyoop

It was a 50 cc, now it has a 70cc kit on it. The stalk cdi was rev limited. The stalk cdi kicked in between 6 to 8k and would not go above 8k which was OK. But when it is kicking in it kills the performance. Once I changed to the blue no rev cdi this problem went away. But the idle jumped because of the advanced timing. The idle could only be adjusted down to 2k, to go lower I had to adjust the fuel mixture and make it richer which was ok. The plug is an ash grey and I check it about every other day and it is staying the same. Before the new cdi it was a nice coffee color. Does this help clear things up. If you all think the timing issue is safe, I'll just run the blue cdi till it poops out. Carl PS I don't run it past 7500 rpm and it is running at 45 mph with about a third or half of the throttle left.

Thanks, it does have the hi/low gear and neutral for peddling. No you can not switch gears on the fly, to bad it cant do this. I never use low gear. So far I am happy with it. It is slow off the start but gets up to speed and fly's.

The city of Columbia is doing alot of pot hole repairs and the temp's are good for riding one day then cold and questionable the next. $3.30 (give or take) per Gal. in Columbia. --------------- Thank's for the info Carl, ride safe, but have fun riding.
