My sister is pretty petite, somewhere between 5' and 5'3" (depending on hair). She would like a 50cc scooter, but really needs a lower seat than any of the models we have found locally. I know I can lower the seat 3-4", I've already spoken to a local shop that can do it. I was thinking of using these to lower the rear shock:
This should give me 3-7" of reduced height. I realize I'm pretty much doing away with the under seat storage, but she can use a trunk and if need be saddle bags. 10" wheels, so there's seems to be plenty of space there, just not sure how much the shocks on a 50cc chinese scooter compress, she only weighs about 100lbs sopping wet. Will there still be enough clearance for everything? Will I have to chop the front shocks too?
