here is the scoot i am considering: www.provenpowersports.com/products/28/TaoTao-Adult-150cc-Gas-Moped-Scooter-ATM150-Ai've been very pleased with my taotao atm50. it had 8,000 km when i purchased 7 months ago. it now has about 14,000 km. it doesn't look pretty but the engine still seems to have some life left in it. i checked out the ATM150 at a local scooter dealer but they want $1499. i could justify spending an extra $200-$300 for the convenience of buying from a dealer but $500 extra... meh, i think i will buy online and do my own PDI. i'm not 100% certain what site i am going to purchase from yet. anyone have some recommendations? seems like they are about the same price at nearly every online store. anybody have a better 150cc for the same money in mind? be about 2-3 months before i can purchase unless i can make some extra money selling a few things on ebay.

Try going into the dealer with cash in hand and making a lower offer. The dealer I purchased my scooter from has it listed on his website for $1299, but I walked out the door with title and tax and a Keihin carb thrown in for $950 total. If at all possible, talk to someone at the dealership and find out when a new shipment of scooters is due in, you can usually get better deals when they are trying to push stock out the door to make room for new stuff.
