Hello all,
Just found this board, pretty excited to go through all the information, learn lots and hopefully give back!
I've been a scooter owner for 1 year now but a fan since I was was very young. My mother is Sicilian; I've been going to Sicily since I was very young which is where I fell in love with scooters.
I've owned 2 bikes, 2011 Kymco Like 50 and 2012 Kymco Like 50. The 2011 was stolen this past summer and recovered. Only issues were cosmetic so I bought it back from Nationwide which deemed it a total loss hehe. I bought the 2012 with the remainder of insurance check.
I have of course derestricted them and added Tecnigas exhausts. 2011 is just sitting at my parents house till I figure out what Im going to do with it. Right now Im in R&D mode with the 2012 looking to move up to 72cc this off season.
Looks like ill be splitting my time between here and Kymcoforum.
Alex

Hiya and welcome! So you're from "Balmer" huh? (I grew up in Maryland, still remember Lexington Market) and you were with your mom over in the old country? (a lot more scooters over there) No wonder you feel in love with them. Well you've come to the right place, all different types of scooter owners and fans here (also motorcycles and ATV's too.) If you have question just ask. (somebody will usually come up with a pretty good idea) Good luck with your new Kymco.

howdy and welcome to a functioning forum. i well remember cicily when there were still piles of horse manure on the cobblestones- heh heh . i rode down from rome on the train which was taken apart into two car sections and put on the ferry and re- assembled on cicily. no-one wanted to speak english but german was ok --- i actually met a wwII german u-boat commander there and spoke to him at length. he spoke good english and arabic required in order to become a u-boat commander.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken
