1986 Yamaha Riva 79cc
I had to put an aftermarket fuel petcock on and now the scooter starts cold just fine, runs for 5 minutes and then dies. After that it's difficult to start for about 5 to 10 minutes and then same thing happens.
I think the problem is choke related but I'm not for sure. The stock petcock has one line in, 2 fuel lines out and 2 vacum lines out. The aftermarket one has one fuel line in, 2 fuel lines out and 1 vacuum line out.
One of the fuel output lines is straight through and no matter which port on the carb I hook it up to causes it to dump fuel out of the overflow. Leads me to believe there is a stuck float needle.
This is where I'm at. Hopefully someone here can help. I know it's something simple but with the new petcock it's throwing me through a loop.
