So...... I was trying to replace the wiring on my gy6 150cc battery because it had become corroded. I had some extra wires laying around that where the same size and had the little ring connectors on the end. I had everything fastened and had a secure connection but some how i shorted it out luckily i had a small copper wire attached and it burnt through that and i was able to disconnect it before any other damage occurred. I just got to inhale some nice toxic smoke.. But like an amateur i didn't take note of the wiring before I started disconnected so now i dont know how to connect my battery so that I can start my scooter.. I thought it was a simple positive and negative connection but that did nothing. So im asking for a little assistance or a good diagram would be nice of the electrical wiring off the battery. I know its something simple I just wanted a little more knowledge confidence before i started messing with 12v again Scoota luv ;D

I followed the wiring from the solenoid down and saw the wire that connects the fuse to the positive side of the battery. I was connecting the wrong wire and that is what was causing it to short. Sometimes the second look is what solves it.. I just needed to post something to get my mind working. Thanks peeps
