Luke, sorry about your friend. That's why I have total utmost respect for real bears. They're scary. Even like that, when it wasn't angry or anything, just looking for food. My photo club's zoo liaison told us last night that the polar bear is trained to pretty much present all angles of himself for visual checks. His handlers will NOT go into the cage unless he's anesthetised. 'Cause while they don't really think he'll do anything, he's a bear and they're food and nobody's taking the chance. Bears are scary up close. Period. >'Kat yeah, i believe you katz,,, i just don't know why people have to make stuff toy bears, stuff toy lions, stuff toy tigers,snakes etc...they are instillng in children's minds that these animals are pets, that they are cudly and can be hugged,,,now when children sees these beast, they approch them like they do to stuff toys then they get attacked...jizz i hate Barney now..LOL |

I dunno, Luke. I think what kids need is Mutual of Omaha and Marlon Perkins again. "Now watch as Jim wrestles the 500 lb lion to the ground. It's a BIG one, isn't it?!"
I grew up with more stuffed animals than any girl should have. But Wild Kingdom ensured I knew the real versions would rip me to pieces!
Btb, I always hated Barney. But that was for low production values and talking down to the kiddos.
