Just to be safe, I'd check the welds at the fork crown too. THAT hard a hit could crack something. When you get the front brake fixed, you can try doing "stoppies" and give the rear end some exercise... LOL! Yes you need to verify more than just the rim since you damaged it coming down hard like that. The forks, single tree and steering head all should be checked out for trueness and cracked welds and such. Note that the tire is no longer to be considered safe as there could be damage to the casing making it so it could blow out on you. Take the MSF Basic Riders Course and learn how to brake properly using both the front and rear brakes. The front brake provides the majority of the bikes stopping ability and has the beefier brake pads. Using the rear as you primary brake can result in putting 3 to 4 times the wear on them than they are designed for.
