Well if nwhick21 hasn't put one in already, you would recommend it?

Most new adjustable carbs work fine regardless of the brand, as long as its the right size and jetted properly any 18-20mm carb is fine with a 50mm big bore kit. I only go bigger when running a9 cams hipro exhaust, open air filter and big valve heads

I think the best set up for speed would be an atm with a 52mm big bore kit, big valve head, a9 cam, hipro exhaust, uni, hipro coil cdi, 24mm carb and hoca 18/46 gear set

Suppose he gets the atm, what kind of speed can you expect after doing the mods?

With the mods I listed it would do over 50 gps and with lighter weights you'd need a wheelie bar ^)

I've had four tao's they have done me just fine but replaced most the parts right from the start, seems your gonna do the same so you'll be fine. I've rode both the thunder and the gt5 the gt5 is quite a bit slower due to its weight but looks slightly better
